Great environment for learning Jiu Jitsu. I went as a visitor and they had a fun class with great rolling partners for an hour after class. Nice to see a gym teaching and experimenting with Leg Locks!

Me and my wife did a drop in here and the gym was warm and welcoming. We hit an open mat and they gym has a full house of skilled fighter who are controlled and tough as hell. I'll definitely drop back into this gym when I find myself in Florida again.

Training at Inside Control is nothing short of amazing. I spent about a week in a half training with these guys while I was visiting Florida. My favorite part was the amount of time I was able to spend on the mat. Every couch was more than willing to get rounds in, at some gyms you don't always get that opportunity. I give them 5 stars, not just for the great couches or amazing facility but for everyone I had a chance to grapple with while a was there. I am looking forward to the next time I am back in the st Petersburg area!!!

Dropped in while I’m town for a buddies Bachelor party. Gabe and all the guys were welcoming, helpful and totally down to get some quality rounds in with me and 5 buddies. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone in town!

I dropped in at this gym while visiting my cousin. The facility has two separate large mat spaces and is well maintained. Everyone I encountered was very welcoming and the instructor was very knowledgeable. I will definitely pay them a visit next time I am in town. Thanks again for the hospitality!

I left my home gym of two years to come to Inside Control Academy, and I am so impressed with the coaching, facility and the welcoming and attentive atmosphere. I have taken classes led by Coach Q, Billy, Anton and Gabe. All of their classes have been through and informative. I thought I would struggle as I transition from Gi to NoGi, but the quality of teaching has made me love NoGi more than I ever have. I have seen Coach Q teach private lessons to the children that I nanny for, and they are learning so much and enjoying it. The kids classes are equally great as Coach Anton and Charlie and absolutely fantastic with keeping children both entertained and engaged. Impressive School for mixed martial arts, I would recommend to anyone.

Just enrolled my son. This is the real deal. No gimmicks. Good people who love what they do. Everyone is about helping each other but they aren’t afraid to put in real work. Highly recommend.

I've had the pleasure of training with Gabriel Maldonado for almost a decade. He is one of the most well rounded, gifted martial artists and instructors I've ever worked with. He's a phenomenal kids and adult Coach and anyone interested in training in MMA in the St Pete area would be extremely lucky to have him as a coach!
